Help With Web Pages

You have to have a web page made first before you can post it on the YellowPencil.net server. That's not as hard to do as it may sound. (No really!) Have you ever made a PowerPoint presentation or typed a Word document? Would you believe a PowerPoint presentation is more difficult to make than a web page? What you need to do is make a file saved in what is called Hyper Text Markup Language which is a computer scripting language. There are a bunch of programs that will save documents as HTML!

You can save a PowerPoint presentation in HTML as well as a Word document. The Netscape web browser (Composer) is a fantastic way to make an HTML page. There are other programs that you can purchase that will make HTML pages, but that's up to you. Choices, choices! So what is the best way to make a page? I suggest that you use Microsoft FrontPage Express for PC or if you are using a Mac, try Claris HomePage. Both are available at the YellowPencil.net
download page.

If you jump in with both feet you may find it to be a lot more simple than you thought at first! Thanks for your interest and CONGRATULATIONS on your desire to learn!
